Travelling
Travelling for pleasure and relaxation – that’s the kind of travelling I like. Not the one where you have to travel to Tokyo because you have an urgent business meeting to attend or travelling with your classmates and a few strict teachers to London for a field trip! NO. I want to go somewhere where I can be free and fearless. I want to find a place where I can sit back, relax and not have to worry about anything or anyone. I have friends who’ve travelled more than 20 countries – and I know it sounds exciting and awesome and it is… it’s just… the fact that they travel with their parents ruins the whole idea of travelling for fun. I understand that it can be fun travelling with your folks because they give you loads of pocket money and you go out and buy tones of stuff but at the end of the day, you’re still their responsibility.
Travelling can be loads of fun – just make sure you’re with the right people. Don’t travel with people who totally suck the fun and excitement out of everything. People always tell me ‘Don’t travel alone! It’s dangerous!’ and it’s true so I’ve decided if there’s one person I’m travelling with – it’s my boyfriend. A best friend or a relative can also be eligible – but when it rains outside and it starts to get cold, trust me, they wouldn’t want to cuddle.
If you asked me right now: ‘Eden, if I could teleport you to anywhere around the world, where would it be?’ … I would say [without any hesitation] Bangalore. It’s just where I need to be right now. That’s where you’ll find me – 2 years from now. However, the thought of travelling to other places has indeed crossed my mind. Bangalore will always be my #1 choice but I’ve listed below my top 10 destinations [primarily for leisure purposes]:

GOA
Ahh… Goa goa goa… even saying the name just makes me want to ‘Go’ there. There was supposed to be a school trip to Goa but it got cancelled because only a few people wanted to go :’[ Doesn’t it look so beautiful? So desirable? Don’t you just want to go there right now? I know I do. When I’m in Bangalore and I have a week off from university, I want to go there and just relax. Even I have to walk there… so help me god I will! I’ve always dreamt of a paradise and seen it on movies, but who knew this paradise existed! The beaches that I’ve been to, have green/brown lakes, rough sandy beaches and barely any forestry… It’s a disaster. I want to feel the warm breeze brush against my cheeks as I smile and take a sip of my cocktail. One thing I’d like to do in Goa: Go to the beach every day!

RIO DE JANEIRO
A place with bright lights and so much life! It’s so sad that I’ve never been there, a place like Rio should be all over the world. When I think of Brazil I think… Amazon! But when I think of loud and festive carnivals… I think Rio. I have a friend who goes to school in Rio – he says it’s amazing and I honestly couldn’t agree more. After watching ‘Fast and Furious’ and ‘Rio’, my only wish to be there only accelerates. I heard the people there are really friendly, the food is addicting, the music is just… out of this world and the scenery is incredible. One thing I’d like to do in Rio de Janeiro: PARTY!

BARCELONA
I’m not much of a football fan, but Barcelona looks like the place to be if you’re interested in history and art. The beaches, the parks and all the historical buildings! I know Spain is really popular with tourism, and I can see why. Even the weather is incredible… I wouldn’t mind going there any day! There are so many historical sites to visit… like Rome. Only Barcelona, in my humble opinion, is more ‘lively’. One thing I’d like to do in Barcelona: Visit museums and buy tones of souvenirs!

CAPE TOWN
For me, Cape Town is the most beautiful city in Africa. Cape Town is a city with great history behind its stunning appearance. It’s a diverse and dynamic city – full of opportunities. It’s one of the hottest destinations out there. It’s suitable for vacation or education – hey that rhymes! Imagine all the beautiful places to visit… it would be an endless list. People always say South Africa is a ‘dangerous’ place to be but that never held me back; I’ve always been a big fan. I admire the stadiums, the historical sites and the beaches! One thing I’d like to do in Cape Town: Go sight-seeing!
